Worcester firefighters battle major blaze
Shortly after 2pm on March 5, 09, firefighters responded to this Pleasant St apartment complex for a reported apartment fire.
Firefighters performed many rescues over ladders on the 4th and 5th floors. Several firefighters were injured and some when a flashover occured on the 3rd floor.

Providence L.O.D.D
Frank, a loyal member of Local 799, was appointed to the Providence Fire Department in April 1979. Frank passed peacefully at approximately 1 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
A department funeral with full honors is planned. Details to follow.
